TOOL - ABSOLUTE ULTRA RARE Clear Vinyl LP

Formed in 1990, Tool’s current line-up includes vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones and drummer Danny Carey. Justin Chancellor has been the band's bassist since 1995, replacing original bass player Paul D'Amour. Tool has won four Grammy Awards, performed numerous worldwide tours, and produced several albums which have topped the charts in several countries.

To date, the band has released five studio LPs, one EP and one box set. Tool emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first record, Undertow (1993), and became a dominant act in the alternative metal movement with the release of their follow-up Ænima in 1996. The group's efforts to combine musical experimentation, visual arts, and a message of personal evolution continued with Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006), gaining critical acclaim and international commercial success.

Their fifth studio album Fear Inoculum was released in August, 2019, to widespread critical acclaim. Prior to its release, the band had sold more than 13 million albums in the US alone. Across a career spanning almost 25 years, Tool have had pauses to record, perform or otherwise communicate, a string of tunes that remain, ‘in the can’, or at least, not readily available.

This new 2LP set features sixteen such cuts, which range from cover versions of numbers originally by Pink Floyd, Wings, Peach, Led Zeppelin, Sublime and Tori Amos, plus duets with the Deftones, RATM and Tori once again. With a clutch of unreleased demos to round the set off nicely too, the collection here will remain a sought after release.
